One Size Does Not Fit All
A Michigan Senate committee quickly passed a bill today (March 28) to repeal the Post Labor Day School Start law that has meant millions of additional tourism dollars and thousands of additional room nights to northern Michigan. The bill – SB 271 – could be up for a full vote in the Senate this week, and calls to legislators are needed.
The Chamber Alliance and tourism industry were instrumental in the passage of the law in 2005. We have opposed efforts in recent years to repeal the law. Click here to view our letter opposing SB 271 : PLDSS_Senate committee_Pavlov_March 2017
If you are part of the tourism industry in northern Michigan, or want to see our largest industry continue to grow, we need your help!
