2014 “VIRTUAL” CANDIDATE FORUM
The Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance this week updated its 2014 Virtual Candidate Forum that includes candidate questionnaires for these statewide offices to be filled by voters at the Nov. 4 general election:
- Michigan’s 1st U.S. Congressional Race
- Michigan’s 4th U.S. Congressional Race
- Michigan’s Governor’s race
**U.S. Senate candidates Gary Peters and Terri Lynn Land were given the opportunity, but did not respond to the questionnaire.

Q1: What is one specific pro-business tax or regulatory reform you will champion if elected?
Q2: Access to a skilled and capable workforce has become a big issue for northern Michigan businesses.
As governor, what specifically will you do to address this?
Q3: The cost of energy is another major issue for job providers in northern Michigan. What specifically will
you do as a Governor to address the affordability and reliability of energy in northern Michigan?
Q4: If elected, what do you hope to accomplish in the next 4 years?
