The House Government Operations Committee, chaired by Rep. Pete Lund (R-Shelby Twp.), will hold a hearing on Wednesday, May 20th, at 12:00 pm to take testimony on Senate Bill 934, which would increase the state’s minimum wage from $7.40 to $9.20 over the next four years and include potential annual increases in the wage based on the consumer price index.
The move is in large part designed to stop a potential November ballot proposal that would hike the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour.
