Governor outlines an energy and environment plan

Governor Rick Snyder on Wednesday released an energy and environmental policy blueprint.  In that plan he calls for increased production of natural gas in Michigan.  He said that natural gas plays a role in his energy policy.  He wants to see greater efficiency and improvements to infrastructure to the electric transmission grid and pipelines.

Part of his message focused on the environment he said we need to  further efforts to protect the Great Lakes from invasive species and  work to set up the kind of environmental protections that allow us to adapt to changing conditions.
